What this is
TrackRate hosts music you upload, gives it a shareable page, and shows you how people listened. It is early software run by a small team; things will change and occasionally break.
Your music stays yours
You keep every right you have in what you upload. You give us only the permission needed to run the service — to store your files, to stream them to people who open your link, and to show artwork and titles on your page. Nothing more, and it ends when you delete the track.
Only upload what you have the right to
By uploading you confirm you own the recording, or have permission from whoever does. That includes samples and anything a collaborator played on.
Copyright complaints and repeat infringers
If you believe something here infringes your copyright, tell us and we will look at it promptly. Valid notices result in the track being taken down, and the person who uploaded it being told why so they can respond.
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. That is a policy we actually apply, not a sentence in a document.
What is not allowed
- Music you do not have the rights to.
- Anything illegal, or content that harasses or endangers someone.
- Manipulating listening data or feedback — yours or anyone else's.
- Automated access that degrades the service for other people.
Limits and ending things
You can delete your account whenever you like, and your tracks go with it. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms. The service is provided as-is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
